Fear No More
Let me start off by saying that I am (or I should say, was) absolutely terrified of flying. My parents flew to London with me (and made a vacation out of it) and my family has been taking bets on whether or not I will get on the plane to come home in December. I was betting against myself. Then, I heard about this course called "Flying Without Fear," which is run by Virgin Atlantic. I went to the course, which was 12 hours long and taught me everything about the way planes are made, tested, and flown. When they took us on a flight, I actually enjoyed myself! I was extremely happy and excited, until I realized that now I really do have to go home soon.
Meantime, London is still fantastic. Two friends from UVM are coming to visit next week and I can't wait to show them around! I'm excited to get to be a tourist again and I have tons of cool stuff planned. Because of the new opening of the King Tut exhibit, the entire city is lit up in gold, so right now, as I write this, I am looking out my window at the golden London Eye, wishing that I had a few more months here. Someone may still have to come and put me on the place, but not because I'm afraid…!
