All good things...
... must come to an end. I'm all packed up and ready to leave London - home for the past 4 months. I have two papers to finish, then off to Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Vienna for ten days, with plans to take in lots of Belgium chocolate and waffles and the German holiday markets. Then, it’s home to New Jersey for the remainder of the break!
I've had some of the best experiences of my life this semester. The places I've traveled to have opened my eyes to so many possibilities! I also feel a lot more confident having lived on my own in a foreign country - and loved it. And, there have been so many once in a lifetime moments here… like the Led Zeppelin benefit concert I just went to. Possibly one of the top 5 best nights of my life. Zep was amazing and it was so cool that I just happened to be in London to see him when there were tons of people who flew in from over 50 countries. The show was mind-blowing and the music, fantastic!
But there are good things ahead, too. Soon I’ll be back in Burlington! Being away has made me appreciate the city and the college so much more! I’m really excited just to run into old friends on campus, go to the waterfront, hit the slopes. And I've missed bizarre things, mostly the good eats… I can't wait to go into New World Tortilla in the Davis Center between classes!
